MIDI control of LADSPA Plugins

I’m not sure if this is already possible in Linux.
Please tell me if it already is.

Imagine if you could assign the LADSPA plugin parameters to endless encoders
on a BCR2000. You could have all those plugins open and control them
with a MIDI control surface(BCR2000, BCF2000, UC-33e,etc) in Ardour.

Knobs, faders, buttons, etc would all work via MIDI. Maybe you
could also save these settings to a template and load/unload them at will.

its already possible

its already possible although mapping the N controllers to >N controls is not solved.

just enable generic MIDI control, and then ctrl-middle-click on the plugin GUI control. same as for faders etc.
